Homemade Pizza

In my first half-year living in Japan, before meeting Aisar and being responsible for myself, I purchased a microwave-oven for only 500 yen from senior, which drove me to do some experiments in my leisure time then.

At that time, I realized that most Japanese like Italian foods and those that sold in Japan are likely safe to be eaten by Muslim (note: vegetarian or meat-free variant). Italian restaurant is easily found everywhere. That is why I, who was necessarily once a year going to Pizza Hut at past, then make frequent entries in Italian restaurant during in Japan. It made me want to make pizza as one of my experiments with the new oven. Continue reading

Fried flounder with potato starch coating. I love it not only bcs it tastes good, but also bcs it doesn’t take much time to cook. LOL

To be honest, I never known, even heard, about a fish species called “flounder” until someday Aisar bought me fried flounder from supermarket nearby our home, Kanehira (かねひらスーパー).  At that time, I only knew it as karei (かれい) and thought it was a kind of Japanese fish. Looking simply cooked yet tasting quite good, I was curious about the recipe, then easily stopped at cookpad (most famous recipe web 2.0 in Japan) page presenting step-by-step karei no karaage (かれいのから揚げ) or “fried flounder”, more specifically it is fried with potato-starch coating. Since then, I have shopped the raw flounder frequently to be cooked at home by myself and this recipe have become one of our favorite menu .

Tuna Spaghetti

Tuna Spaghetti (ツナスパゲッティ)

Tuna Spaghetti (ツナスパゲッティ)

Tuna spaghetti is a plush menu for us because minced tuna (in Japanese sometimes called まぐろ) costs around 300-400 yen per 100 gram.

  • Tuna 100 g
  • Pasta (spaghetti or other types) 125 g, boil first
  • Red onion / onion 1/3 g
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Chili 1, finally chopped
  • Olive oil or any vegetable oil 2 tsp
  • Tomato sauce 3 tsp or finely-chopped tomato
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Additional: cinnamon, basile, oregano, parsley, grated cheese

(1) heat the oil in low level
(2) fry onion, garlic until smelled good
(3) add tomato to pan, if you use sliced pieces wait until soft
(4) add tuna, mix well, cook 5 minutes
(5) add pasta, mix well, cook 10 -15 minutes
(6) add additional seasonings but parsley and cheese for topping

Note: cinnamon makes the extra-ordinary taste

My Ultimate Recipe for Chicken Nugget

creativega's avatar.: EGA DIONI PUTRI :.

Let’s make chicken nugget at home!

This recipe is very simple one. I got it from my aunt. She has practiced it for many times because nugget is her son’s favorite food, but she doesn’t like to buy nugget sold in shop due to ingredients issue (MSG, artificial freshness maker, etc.). I followed her recipe yesterday and was so excited to find it tasted good! 😀

Recipe for 60 pieces
300 gr minced chicken
100 ml fresh milk
50 gr tapioca flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tbs fried red onion, crumble

coat:
1 egg
breadcrumb

– mix all ingredients carefully
– bake at 230 degrees celcius for 15 minutes
– flip the dough and bake again at the same degree for 15 minutes
– slice into pieces, smear with egg and breadcrumb
– fry in medium heat to serve

Keep the rest of the nuggets…
